The Prince-themed semi-final round featured two dances from each of the six remaining teams. The semi-finalists and the songs they danced to are:
- Wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin & his professional partner Witney Carson danced to “Baby I’m A Star” and “Wow.”
- “Parent Trap” actress Elaine Hendrix & dancing pro, Alan Bersten, performed to “I Wanna Be Your Lover” and “When Doves Cry.”
- “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Whitney Leavitt & professional dancer Mark Ballas danced to “1999” and “Slow Love.”

At the end of the night, the leaderboard showed how tight the competition is and made it nearly impossible to predict who might be sent home.
After the competitive dances, the standings were as follows:
59 out of 60 points – Robert and Witney
58 out of 60 points – Alix and Val
58 out of 60 points – Whitney and Mark
57 out of 60 points – Elaine and Alan
57 out of 60 points – Jordan and Ezra
55 out of 60 points – Dylan and Daniella
But judges’ votes only count as part of the scoring. Viewer votes are also taken into account, meaning the celebrities with an active fan base can make it far in the competition despite the judges’ scores.
When it came time for the results to be announced, hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro took turns revealing which teams were safe before naming who was being eliminated just one week before the finale.
Elaine & Alan, Alix & Val, Robert & Witney, Dylan & Daniella, and Jordan & Ezra were all named as finalists and will competing for the Mirrorball Trophy next week.
This week’s eliminated team was … Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas.
